Q: How long will my bathroom/kitchen be out of use?

A: That very much depends on the nature of your refurbishment project. We will advise on how long it’s likely to take when we come to visit your property and quote. Throughout the project, we will minimise the disruption for you.

Q: How do you ensure the tradespeople you use are suitably qualified?

A: We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, so we ensure we only use the best trades and craftspeople to work on your home. We check their qualifications and we take up references for them. We also inspect their recent jobs. We regularly check on our teams while they’re working for you, to ensure the high quality we expect is maintained.

Q: Will you clean up at the end of each day?

A: Yes, we will clean up the areas we’ve been working in at the end of each day.

Q: Will I have access to a working toilet each evening?

A: Yes, as far as possible we will leave you with some form of working toilet each day. If it is not possible, we will advise you.

Q: Do we need to vacate our property during the work or during the day?

A: This very much depends on the nature of the project. If it’s a big job or you have young children, for example, we may advise that you seek temporary alternative accommodation. If you are having a new bathroom or kitchen installed, you may need to temporarily adjust what you do – washing in the sink, using the shower at the gym or cooking from a microwave in another room, for example. We will advise you if adjustments like this are necessary and we aim to minimise disruption as far as possible.

Q: Will the water or electrics be off while you work?

A: At some point the water or electrics may need to be turned off, depending on the nature of your project. If this is the case, we will advise you beforehand when this is likely to be and how long for.

Q: Do we need to get planning permission?

A: That will depend on the nature of your project. We can advise you whether what you have in mind requires planning permission.
